About This Course

Training Facilitators / Trainers are mainly used in adult education and use their expertise in a subject to share knowledge and to guide a person to a higher level of competence. A Facilitator makes the process of learning easier by using outcomes-based training, which includes both theoretical and practical knowledge. Prospen Africa will provide you with all of that.

This Facilitation Skills course aims to provide recognition for those participants who facilitate or intend to facilitate learning using a variety of given methodologies, the purpose of this Facilitation Skills course is for participants to be able to:

  • Plan and prepare for facilitation.
  • Facilitate learning; and
  • Evaluate learning and facilitation.


This is one (1) of the five (5) ETD roles / courses that together provides participants with the general Education, Training and Development skills required at an NQF level 5 thus providing an opportunity for participants to specialise further in one of the following four roles:

  • Design and develop learning interventions.
  • Facilitate learning.
  • Design and conduct assessments.
  • Facilitate skills development.
